iMacとiphone4s

昨日セミナーを終えて事務所に戻り、撮影した画像をiMacに取り込もうとして、大きな過ちを犯してしまった！
スリムデザインのiMacには、右横にCDスロットとSDカードスロットが縦に並んでいる。古いPowerMacから交換して、昨年末に使い始めたiMacに慣れて快適に使ってきたが、SDカードを正面から確認もせずにCDスロットに押し込んでしまったのだ！
ネットで調べると間違えてCDスロットに差し込む人もいるようで、その対処法が書かれている。厚紙を切り抜いて引っかかったSDカードを引っ張りだす訳だ。
何度か試してみるとカードは取り出せ、喜んでよく見ると古いSDカードの先端が横長に割れている！iMacを横に向けて取り出そうと試みるが不可能。
パルコ向かいのApple Store Shibuyaで相談すると、持ち込みで修理対応してくれるとのことだったが、緊急修理するにはAppleの法人窓口が最近始めたJointVentureに入れば対応してくれることが分かったが、そのためには今までAppleCareにも入っていなかったので、iPhoneを4から4sに機種変更してサービスを受けられるようにする必要がある。

という訳で、まず4sへ機種変更してからオフィスに戻ってiMacを台車に乗せてApple GENIUS BARへ持ち込んだ。このサービスセンターはいつきても相当に混雑しているがJointVentureのサービスなので、割り込み手続きができた。
そして今朝9時半には修理完了の連絡が入って、午前中にiMacが復帰した！

OTOWA RESTAURANT音羽シェフの「次世代につながるお店づくりセミナー」

汐留イタリア街区にある東京ガス業務用厨房ショールーム「厨BO!SHIODOME」セミナールーム会場で、厨BO!お役立ちセミナーが開かれた。第1回目は宇都宮のフレンチレストラン「オトワレストラン」のオーナーシェフ・音羽和紀氏による「次世代につながるお店づくりセミナー」で、非常に内容豊かな楽しいセミナーを拝聴することができた。
1947年生まれというから、私より少し若いが大学卒業後ヨーロッパ各地のホテルやレストランで修行され、フランス料理界の重鎮・故アランシャペルに師事し、帰国後1981年に宇都宮にフランス料理店「オーベルジュ」を開店。その後レストラン、バー、デリカショップなどを多角的に経営されている。また地産地消をコンセプトに地域に根付いた料理開発や、食育活動などにも活動を広げている。
なお、BOの各種セミナーは8月29日にオザキスチコンセミナー、9月14日にニュークックチルによる病院食実践セミナー、10月22日にはアイビー株式会社の熊谷喜八氏、11月5日はつきぢ田村の田村隆氏によるBO!料理セミナーなどが予定されており、「厨BO!SHIODOME」の公式サイトから申込が可能だ。
業務用キッチンの話は奥が深く、家庭用キッチンのデザイン設計に取り組んでいる人にもぜひ聞いておくべき話が多い。(hide)

食器洗い機の洗剤は何がベスト？！

スウェーデンASKO社の食器洗い機を使い始めたのが2005年9月からなので、ちょうど7年が経過したことになる。一代目は山小屋で使い、自宅で使っているのは二代目にあたる。
その間全くトラブル無しで、日々の暮らしに役立ってくれているこの機械に感謝することが多い。
そんな中で、あまり気にしてこなかったのが食器洗い機専用の洗剤だ。7年前に比べるとメーカーも増え、どこでも手に入るようになってきたのは大きな変化だが、数ヶ月くらい前から使い始めた花王の洗剤を使うと、食器洗い機本体のステンレスが粉をふいたように真っ白くなるようになって、使い終わったので別のメーカーに変えてみた。
するとステンレスの粉をふいた白い汚れがつかなくなって、気持ちよく使えるように回復した。
洗剤によって、食器の洗い具合や庫内の汚れなどに違いが出るので、いくつかのメーカーを比較して、自分の食器洗い機に適した洗剤を選ぶことが大切だ。(hide)

AllAboutじぶん学校の最終回！

7月19日から始まったAllAboutじぶん学校の最終回が
日曜の昼過ぎから品川区立総合区民会館「きゅりあん」の
調理教室を会場にして開かれました。
「もっと、発酵ライフ！」コースの最終回は
手づくり味噌の実技でした。
生徒の皆さんが、とっても熱心で盛り上げてくださったことに
感謝申し上げます。
またスタッフの皆様の強力なバックアップのおかげさまで
内容豊かなコースを終えることができましたことに
あらためて、御礼申し上げます。
朝早いのが少しキツかったのですが
今思い出すと、とっても懐かしく思います。(tami)
