渋谷西武「LIVING EDITION」

7月に渋谷西武B館の地下一階に「LIVING EDITION」ができたというので覗いてみた。
往年の渋谷文化の発祥地ともいわれた西武渋谷店の凋落ぶりは見事で、A館1階は駅からも近いので少し客がいるが、井の頭通りをはさんだB館は見事に客の姿が全く無い。
そのB館にインテリアショップというので期待して出かけたが、まったく駄目！11社くらいの名前を聞いたインテリアショップが並んでいるが、昼休み時間でも客はまったくいない。店によっては店員もいない。
これでは、西武再建のメドはまったく立たない。どうしてこんな店づくりばかりするのか理解に苦しむ。地階の階高の低さも致命的で，こうなったらすべて解体して新しいコンセプトのもとにビルを建て直すしか道はない。それこそ文化発信のファッション博物館や漫画博物館などを考えてみたらどうだろう？(hide)
