「深萱」のそばと駅弁「ひつまぶし」

快晴の寒い朝、年の瀬のご挨拶に名古屋出張。品川駅を出た頃から街並みの向こうに小さく冠雪した富士山が遠望できる。小田原辺りでは丹沢山塊の左にだいぶ大きな富士山が見えるようになり、静岡に近づくと巨大な富士山が目の前に広がる。このくらいの冠雪が富士が一番美しく見える時期だ。
ランチは新鵜沼近くにある「深萱」の蕎麦。つきだしに蕎麦のおかきとおから。まずは極上のざるそばに舌鼓を打ち、続いて暖かいとろろ蕎麦、仕上げは蕎麦の実のお茶漬け。どれもが素晴らしい味を堪能させていただいた。
店の前に広がる畑でおばさんが野菜を摘んでいる。聞いて見ると「アスパラ菜」だそうで、雪に埋もれた小松菜もたくましい。先日見た映画の中でシェフが畑の菜を摘んで口にしていたのを思い出し真似てみた。なるほど旨い！スーパーで買う野菜とはまったく違う旨さが口の中に広がる。
帰りの新幹線が遅くなり、夕食は名古屋名物「ひつまぶし」1,050円の駅弁を買った。
よく見たら、この製造会社は大阪の会社だった。名古屋駅で買った駅弁も大阪製というのは不可解で面白い。2段重ねが当然と思っていたひつまぶしも、この駅弁の中身は一段のみ。味は可もなく不可もなく、お薦めできる駅弁とは言えない。昼のそばが美味すぎた。(hide)
